Independent Living Program

The Independent Living Program is the foundation of residency for Bridgework Community Alliance, Inc. This is not a free-for-all housing arrangement. All house members must actively participate in a structured life-stabilization process and ensure monthly room fees are paid timely in order to reside in the home.

Mandatory Program Enrollment

To be eligible for residency, every house member must be actively enrolled in one of the following pathways at all times:

Education Pathway Program, or

Employment Pathway Program

No individual may reside in the home without verified enrollment and ongoing compliance in one of these two pathways.

Financial Requirement

All house members must demonstrate the financial ability to meet their housing obligations to pay their monthly room and board fee.

Payments may be made through personal income or verified third-party funding from a North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) agency or other approved funding source.

Proof of funding or income must be submitted prior to move-in and maintained throughout residency.

Ongoing Eligibility

To maintain residency, house members must:

Remain in good standing within their selected pathway (Education or Employment)
Maintain financial compliance
Follow all program policies, conduct standards, and safety requirements

Failure to meet these requirements may result in corrective action, probation, or program discharge.
